update on THE coffee table

Last month, I blogged about THIS COFFEE TABLE that I found at a yard sale in Bryant this past summer.

You remember... my amazing find for just one buck-a-roo!

Well I was waiting until we moved back up to Fayetteville in our new house to paint it because I didn't know what colors I wanted to use until I got everything into the new living room.

Well, I finally got my colors picked out and started working on the coffee table...

... and voilĂ !

The finished product.
At first, I thought it might be too bright, but I wasn't going to buy anymore paint (I mean, it was just a $1 table) so I decided to leave it alone. After some time and some really nice comments from my friends, I must say the color is beginning to grow on me.
Already getting it's money's worth.
Don't worry... those aren't my hairy legs!

P.S. At that same yard sale, I actually spent $2. "Where did the other dollar go?" you are thinking.
Well I also bought this bad boy...
It will be a while before I post a follow-up on the bench though because it is buried in this room.
I dare you to try and find it...So........ we still have a little more unpacking to do, ha, but I'll post pics as we go.
Have a happy weekend!

let me introduce you to my new friend

Recently, my mother and I made a trip to Fayetteville to paint our new house before Greg and I moved back up (last weekend).

Yup, you are seeing that right... its a lime green wall. And I looooove it! (I'll post more house pics later.)

On the way home, we decided to stop at Marketplace Grill in Conway for some good eats and something a little odd happened.

Now if you have read my blog in the past, I hope you read THIS ENTRY about two of my best friends' wedding.

If you did, then you might remember this picture:

Look at it closely now...

REMEMBER that I had no idea who these people were. When I got my camera back it just had this random picture of these random people on it.

Well, Mom and I sat down and began reviewing the menu when our waiter walked up, and it was this guy:

Haha, I recognized him immediately. I texted Hailey to see if it could be him, and she said it was!

What a small, crazy world.

Moral of the story: Be careful who's camera you snatch!

And next time you are at Marketplace, ask for Kevin... he's a great waiter!

walking with my feet ten feet off of Beale

Recently, Greg and I woke up one morning and said, "Let's go on a vacation today!"

We had talked about going on several trips this summer but never did. So we randomly decided to go all out and travel far and wide all the way to grand ole Memphis, Tennessee!

We kind of splurged a little on a hotel.

We ate at the greatest restaurant across from the Peabody while we were there. Seriously, it was one of the best meals I have ever had. I had to keep myself from licking the plate clean when I finished. It is called Encore and
here is the link to their website. I wish I was getting paid to tell you this, but really I just thought it was so good that I needed to spend two minutes of my time telling you about it in case you decide to take a random trip to Memphis as well.

Our favorite part of the trip...

Sometimes I really envy the life of a dog. Can you imagine going to work and doing this:

Of course its always good to come back home...

And for your sheer entertainment pleasures, here are two short videos of some talented people on Beale Street:

...Taught 'em everything they know.
