How to make BIG pictures on Blogspot

Preface::
Anyone that knows me well is probably thinking, "Janice, is about to explain how to do anything on a computer?!  Precede with caution!"  No seriously, I'm not a computer person AT ALL.  But I had been wanting to be able to put big pictures on my blog for a while, and I couldn't figure out how.  So since I may not be the only one who wants the option of bigger pictures, here is the "How To" in layman's terms.

First, you have to get your blog ready to handle big pictures::
I found this website, Made By Madeline, that got me started.  Pay attention to the second paragraph.  It's where I found all the good stuff.  I did what it said and widened my blog to accommodate larger pictures.  To do this, go to "Layout," then "Edit HTML."  Scroll down until you see the words "Outer-wrapper," "Main-wrapper," and "Sidebar-wrapper."  I set my Outer-wrapper to the widest possible width, 950px.  You can do less depending on what you like.

Next, Madeline says to change your Main-wrapper and Sidebar-wrappers to whatever you wish making sure that they add up to 950px (or whatever width you chose above).  Originally, I set mine to 700px and 250px respectively, but there was no space at all between the two columns.  So I tried changing mine to 700px and 210px even though that doesn't add up to 950px.  It worked.  I now have space between my columns.  (My blog template, by the way, is a two column template.  I don't know how it differs if yours has more columns.  So just play around if need be.)

Then comes the fun part!  BIG PICTURES!::
The rest of Madeline's post talks about uploading your pics to photobucket, but I think this is the old way.  I've only been blogging a little over a year, but apparently a lot has changed on Blogspot since I started.  So if you have been blogging for long at all, you will have to update your post editor.  To do this, go to "Settings," then "Basic."  Go down until you see "Select Post Editor," and choose "Updated Editor," then save it.  Instead of me explaining what to do from this point, you can just click the "Latest Features" link next to the "Uploaded Editor" button you just chose.  It will explain how to resize your pictures better than I can.

Yay!!  Now you can enjoy big pics like this one.
Seriously adorable.

I know this looks like a whole lot, but believe me... It is not near as hard as it looks.  There is no way I could do something complicated on the computer.  This is just a lengthy post because I tried to be detailed for all you computer illiterate people like myself.

Hope this was helpful.  If you try it, please let me know how it goes.  I would love to know!!
